JUNE 2023 – Obtained upfront dismissal of wrongful termination case against KBY’s fortune 500 client in exchange for waiver of costs and malicious prosecution claims.
DECEMBER 2022 – KBY attorneys secured complete dismissal of representative PAGA case for client after Viking River. Plaintiff’s appeal was dismissed due to repeated defect.
SEPTEMBER 2020 – On behalf of a Fortune 500 company, Summer Young-Agriesti and Ana Thomas obtained a complete victory in a PAGA case involving almost 2,000 class members. The case revolved around wage statements and the applicable hourly rate to be displayed on the wage statement for hourly employees who also received bonuses. Although the trial court disagreed with our theory, the Court of Appeals reversed, and the California Supreme Court also sided with the employer. This is an unusually favorable outcome in today’s employment law climate.
OCTOBER 2019 – Summer Young-Agriesti published in GPSolo Magazine for members of the ABA Solo, Small Firm and General Practice Division.
APRIL 2019 – Ana Thomas represented a large hospital corporation in a case involving an alleged denial of access by a plaintiff with a service dog. After the start of trial, plaintiff’s claims were dismissed with prejudice by the court, resulting in a complete defense victory.
JANUARY 2019 – Summer Young-Agriesti conducted 2019 New Employment Law presentations to the Los Angeles Advertising Human Resources Professionals (LAAHRP) as well as a local collection of staffing companies.

MAY 2017 – Will Klatte was quoted on JD Supra, a leading distributor of legal news and analysis, in an article exploring how law firms are innovating to increase efficiency. He discussed KBY Law’s adaptability and willingness to look beyond billable hours to improve the services provided to clients. The article can be viewed here.
MARCH 2017 – Los Angeles Superior Court. Obtained Summary Judgment on behalf of large hospital management corporation as to all seven causes of action asserted against it. The complaint asserted race discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims in downtown Los Angeles, which is one of the most liberal jury pools in the country. Prevailing party costs of approximately $15,000 were obtained.
NOVEMBER 2016 – U.S. District Court, Central District (Los Angeles). KBY obtained a pre-trial dismissal of all claims against its client, a large hospital management corporation, brought by a female physician. The complaint asserted gender discrimination and retaliation claims. No payment or other remuneration was provided for the dismissal with prejudice.
